- In Railway, create a project and add a service from a Docker image: ghcr.io/astrit/slash-socket-server:latest.
- Variables: add SOCKET_ADMIN_KEY (Railway's generator or openssl rand -hex 24) and, if you like, SOCKET_MANIFEST with the manifest's JSON.
- Add a volume to the service, mounted at /data.
- Settings → Networking: generate a railway.app domain, or add your own and create the CNAME it shows.
- Keep it at one replica.
Railway sets PORT for you and proxies WebSockets with TLS, so pages use wss://your-domain.
Then manage it from your Mac: in Slash Socket open Fields → + Server, enter its address and admin key, and push a manifest (or set SOCKET_MANIFEST). Pages connect to wss://your-domain with the client from https://your-domain/client.js.
