Mobile Mode

Slash automatically renders as a bottom sheet on small viewports.

On viewports narrower than 640px, Slash automatically switches its floating presentation to a bottom sheet — anchored to the bottom edge, full-width, with a drag handle and swipe-to-dismiss gesture. No extra configuration is required. Inline mode behaves the same way, collapsing into a sheet trigger at the same breakpoint rather than staying pinned as a sidebar.

The breakpoint and sheet behavior are configurable if the default 640px cutoff doesn't match your app's own responsive breakpoints.

  • Sheet height grows with result count up to 80% of the viewport, then scrolls
  • Swipe down or tap the scrim to dismiss, matching native sheet conventions
  • The on-screen keyboard is accounted for automatically so results stay visible while typing
  • Force the sheet presentation at any viewport width with presentation="sheet"
